24V PIR Module

The Nortek 24V PIR Module (NTA-PIR) is a stand alone 24Vdc PIR with adjustable sensitivity and adjustable time designed for use from a 24Vdc supply. The 24Vdc PIR has 2 separate changeover volt free contact NC/NO outputs which are capable of switching up to 2 amps at 24Vdc.

With a sensitivity of up to approximately 2.5 metres (depending on ambient conditions) and an off time delay of up to approximately 5 minutes the 24Vdc PIR is perfect for use in buses, coaches, and commercial vehicles for automatically switching lighting, fans, signage, etc. With a supply load current of around 25ma (excluding external load) it can be permanently powered if required.

The 24Vdc PIR is supplied in 2 parts, the remote sensor head and the control board plus a 20cm link cable. This allows customers to install the PIR sensor into tight areas whilst installing the control board into easy to reach positions.

For example in coach toilet or storage cubicles, alarm & industrial control panels etc.

The PIR Module can also be used as a Toilet Cubicle Occupancy Sensor in long distance Bus and Coach applications, optionally linked to our GPS Bus & Coach Clock in order to give visual indication in the passenger area that the onboard toilet is currently occupied, as well as automatically controlling lighting and/or fans inside the cubicle.

The Nortek 24Vdc PIR is supplied as PCBs (not in housings) thus allowing customers to easily incorporate the PIR module into their own products / systems or within existing equipment.
